How envelope budgeting works
You divide your income into categories, or envelopes, and spend only what is allocated to each one. When an envelope is empty, you stop spending in that category or move funds from another. The method works for any income level and is especially useful for irregular income.
How Vaulra modernises the method
Vaulra organises envelopes into named groups like Housing, Food, and Transport. Each group shows a summary of allocated and spent amounts for at-a-glance comprehension.
When you create a new envelope, Vaulra's AI suggests the best-fit group based on the name. Your structure carries forward each month automatically. Envelopes can contain sub-envelopes for finer tracking. Spending velocity shows your daily safe-to-spend per envelope with pace warnings before you run out.
